Jealene Friesen makes her home in West Texas with her husband, Jacob, and their three boys. She enjoys interior design and highly values spending time with her husband and sons, especially traveling with them.
An avid reader herself from a young age, Jealene has encouraged her boys to expand their minds through wholesome reading and has always been selective of the books they read. She understands the struggle many parents face in finding children's books rooted in Scripture that make faith feel real, relatable, and exciting to young readers. So she is on a mission to write Christian books that will hold kids' attention with exceptional illustrations and intriguing narratives.
By God's grace, what started decades ago as a dream to write a children's book has become Kingdom Cubs today: a children's book series where lovable animal characters face real-kid problems and discover timeless Biblical truths along the way. Each book centers on one value and one Bible verse, making Scripture accessible and memorable for even the youngest listeners.
Jealene's desire for each of her stories is to not only teach children a meaningful life lesson, but also to bring life-changing encouragement to readers and listeners of all ages and to inspire them to pursue a deeper relationship with God. Her vision: a growing library of Kingdom Cubs books spanning multiple mini-series, with new titles releasing throughout 2026 and beyond.
